Q: Can I supply my own fabric?
A: Yes you can. It needs to be new 100% cotton quilting fabric. Please contact me and I can give you the approximate yardage that will be needed All left over fabric will be returned I reserve the right to return fabric if it does not meet these conditions.
Q: How do I get the pictures to you?
A: The pictures can be either emailed to me or sent through the mail. If pictures are mailed I recommend that they be insured. All pictures that are mailed will be returned with the finished quilt
Q: What kind of pictures can you use?
A: Any pictures you have can work. Color or black and white. If you want your color picture to be black and white that can be done also. I can also create sepia version of the photo's. This is brown tinted variation of a black and white photo This will give it a old fashioned look.
Q: What if all my pictures are not all the same size?
A: That will not be a problem. I can use any picture from a wallet size to 8 1/2" x ll" I encourage you to use larger photos if possible as reproducing a larger picture will result in a better quality picture on the fabric.
Q: Can I use artwork along with pictures in my memory quilt?
A: Using art with photos is a great idea and something I can do. If you have a favorite poem we can use that to. Please contact me and we can discuss exactly what you have in mind.
Q: What are your payment policies?
A: Payment in full is expected before the memory quilt or pillow can be started. We accept all traditional methods, including check, money order, paypal, and credit cards.
Q: How big can the pictures be in the quilt?
A: The largest picture I can print is approximately 8x10
Q: What are the washing instructions?
A: Due to the fact there is no quilting in the picture areas it is recommended that the wall hanging be dry cleaned. If washed in a washing machine batting my shift in the picture area.
Q: What kind of batting is used in the quilt?
A: The batting is 1/4" thick and 100% cotton.
Q: What if I want more than 9 pictures in the wall hanging?
A: The only price that would vary would be the quilting and binding. Please contact me and I can quote you a price.
Q: How is binding attached?
A: I hand stitch the binding on the wall hangings.
Q: How soon will I get my quilt?
A: Please contact me and I will tell you what my current work load is and how soon I can start your Memory Quilt Obviously I can start on the quilt without the pictures. When I receive the pictures I will be able to give you an approximate completion date. Each quilt take up to 3 weeks to complete. If this is for a special occasion please let me know and I will try to have the wall hanging complete in plenty of time.
